Enhancements
Interaction Optimization
§ [Volume Management] The display of Volume Management and Deduplication Resource is optimized, and the decimal places of capacity data is unified to 2.
§ [Log Management] The display of Log is optimized, and the button of Refresh is added to allow users to refresh the log list manually.
Security
§ [Platform Protection] The related certificate authentication function is provided when adding or editing platforms (or adding OceanStor).
- The platforms include:
  • FusionCompute
  • H3C CAS
  • VMware
  • SANGFOR HCI
  • Huawei Cloud Stack
  • OpenStack
  • OceanStor (Used when adding Huawei Cloud Stack)
- When adding or editing platforms (or adding OceanStor), certificate authentication function is supported. If select to trust the certificate, the certificate will be authenticated before client and platform communicate.
§ All the interfaces of exported files are modified to Rest interface, so that only current user can get and download the file generated by the current user.
Experience
§ [Backup and Recovery for SAP HANA] Backup copies of 100,000 points in time is supported.
§ [Auto Retry for VM/Cloud Host] The job-level auto retry is changed to VM or cloud host level auto retry, so as to reduce the storage occupied or the resource outage.
- The platforms include:
  • FusionCompute
  • H3C CAS
  • Hyper-V
  • VMware
  • SANGFOR HCI
  • XenServer
  • Huawei Cloud Stack
  • OpenStack
- The details include:
  • The job-level auto retry is changed to VM or cloud host level auto retry.
  • The VM/cloud host level auto retry can be enabled and disabled. It is disabled by default.
  • The count of VM/cloud host level auto retry can be set from 1 to 5 times. The default value is 1.
  • The waiting time of VM/cloud host level auto retry can be set from 1 to 30 minutes. The default value is 1 minute.
§ [Recovery from Object Storage] The response time for getting the interfaces of backup job, point in time and data source is shrunk for the scenario if there is too much backup data in object storage (over 10,000 points in time).
§ [Front-end Static Resource] The access system of front-end static resources is optimized. The front-end compressible resource file can be compressed in gzip and files can be exported in gz, so that the size of the package can be reduced.
§ [Load Balancing] The client load balancing is optimized to handle the problems of load balancing failure after backup and recovery jobs and clients are deeply bound.
- The nodes of public service can be queried.
- The load balancing count of client on each node can be queried.
- The node-related online clients can be queried (Client name and IP can be displayed).
- One-click load balancing and single-node load balancing are supported.
- Backup jobs can be distributed to any available node.
