Symptoms

Installing client fail in Linux server, error,

【ERROR】"Service ABClientService already exists in the current system，please uninstall before installation"

【ERROR】BasicRunner install failed，stop install

Impact

Installing client fail in Linux server.

Cause

Didn't finish uninstallation before install the client again, service file still in the server.

Resolution

To solve this issue, service file need be deleted, please follow the steps,

1.Log on the server and change directory to /etc/systemd/system.

cd /etc/systemd/system

Notice: The directory is /etc/init.d/ in redhat5, directory is /sbin/init.d/ in HPUX, directory is /etc/rc.d/init.d/ in AIX.

2.Detele service file manually(cation the rm cmd).

rm ABClientService.service

3.Reinstall the client.
