Introduction
This document provides last-minute information about AnyBackup Family 7.0.17.1. Key features, new features, new compatibilities and enhancements of AnyBackup Enterprise, AnyBackup CDM and AnyBackup Express can be found in the following sections of this document.
The release version of AnyBackup Family 7.0.17.1 is available from March 30, 2022. If you are upgrading from previous versions, please review the upgrade guide closely before performing the upgrade.

Key Features
AnyBackup Disaster Recovery Management
- [Disaster Recovery Plan] Recovery data retention time can be set via Cleanup when you are creating workload on AnyBackup Disaster Recovery Management.
AnyBackup CDM / AnyBackup Enterprise / AnyBackup Express / AnyBackup CDM for HUAWEI (resell)
[Application Separation] The client is separated to different clients of different application modules so that the client deployment is enhanced.
-  The concept of Runner is introduced.
-  Clients of different application modules can be deployed separately.
-  Multi-user or ordinary-user deployment is supported for some application modules.
            Notice: Only client of XenServer is separated at the moment.
[Security Separation] The client security is enhanced.
-  External communication process running as an ordinary user is supported.
-  Independent permission control is supported for some application modules.
[Push and Installation] One-click deployment of client is achieved.
-  Broadly compatible with common operating systems, such as Linux, Windows and Unix.
-  Broadly compatible with various applications, including Oracle, MySQL, DB2, GaussDB, Dameng and XenServer.
-  Deployment in batch is supported.
[Online Upgrade] Version 7.0.17.1 can be upgraded to later versions.
-  Running jobs will not be affected when the client is being upgraded.
-  Tips for client upgrade is supported.
-  On-demand upgrade of applications is supported.
-  Upgrade in batch is supported.

Enhancements
Feature
 ●  [Plug-in Management] Third-party service can be called.
 ●  [MySQL Backup]
-  Four backup modes are added for physical backup of MySQL primary/standby cluster: preferentially backup of standby database, preferentially backup of primary database, only backup of primary database, and only backup of standby database.
-  For physical recovery, recovery with no target instance is supported.
-  For physical recovery, the file xtarback.info can be recovered to confirm the rollback data point of backup logs.
 ●  [PostgreSQL] 
-  The time range selected for incomplete recovery is more precise: from the time backup starts to the time backup ends.
-  After PostgreSQL 12 is restored to the original machine, a full backup will be performed automatically if an incremental backup is started.
-  The default database postgres is used for authorization of PostgreSQL.
-  Ordinary database users can perform backup and recovery for PostgreSQL.
 ●  [DB2] Backup and recovery can be performed without authorization.
 ●  [OS] Automated backup and recovery is supported for AIX.

 ●  [Archive] The creation of database for archive service is separated from the archive service process.
Security
[ESSS/EOSS] 
-  Permission is optimized to enhance security. Only legitimate users can read related directories or files.
-  The running permissions for ESSS (snapshot storage service) and EOSS services are reduced. The permissions for creating levelDB files and directories by ESSS and EOSS services are reduced. 
[User] Password complexity is optimized.
[Web] Frontend components are upgraded and security vulnerabilities are addressed.
