AnyBackup Family 7.0.17.2 Release Notes

Introduction
This document provides last-minute information about AnyBackup Family 7.0.17.2. Key features, new features, new compatibilities and enhancements of AnyBackup Enterprise, AnyBackup CDM, AnyBackup Express and AnyBackup Disaster Recovery Management can be found in the following sections of this document.
The release version of AnyBackup Family 7.0.17.2 is available from May 22, 2022. If you are upgrading from previous versions, please review the upgrade guide closely before performing the upgrade.

Key Features
AnyBackup Disaster Recovery Management
- Built-in application availability verification and cleanup templates are supported.

- Online update from AnyBackup Family 7.0.17.1 to AnyBackup 7.0.17.2 and later versions is supported.
- Running jobs will NOT be impacted when the client is updating.
- Tips will be given if there is a new version to be updated.
- On-demand update for applications is supported.

[Database Replication] TurboDX which is a data synchronization tool is introduced.
 ●  Advantages 
- Rich data replication features: Features include homogeneous database replication, heterogeneous database replication, data integration of big data platforms, data integration of data warehouses, data format conversion and data masking are supported, which helps achieve data migration, big data aggregation and data subscription or delivery across departments.
- Rich data sources: Mainstream databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2; domestic databases such as Dameng, Gauss, Kingbase; big data components such as MongoDB, OceanBase, PolarDB, Greenplum, Hadoop, Kafka are supported.
- Simple operations and maintenance: Hosts, jobs and channels can be monitored and exchange data flows are tracked by visualized management and real-time monitoring. Data comparison is also supported so that users can compare the data consistency at source and destination instantly via webpage.
- Easy and quick deployment: One-click deployment and hybrid deployment with AnyBackup Family are supported. Deployment options include basic configuration, advanced configuration, premium configuration and high-availability configuration.
 ●  Capabilities
- Continuous replication for homogeneous and heterogeneous databases based on CDC incremental data collection and agentless data collection is supported.
- Multiple big data components can be destinations so that big data aggregation is achieved.
- Data subscription and delivery across departments and regions are supported.
- Online database consistency comparison is supported. Data replay can be performed based on the result.
[Copy Data Masking] Based on copy in native format, incremental synthesis and storage snapshot, together with ecological cooperation, multiple masking algorithms are provided. Compared with traditional solutions, it reduces the impact on production database by masking to mounted instances. Meanwhile efficiency is enhanced by orchestration and resources can be released by setting policies or auto unmounting and cleanup.
 ●  Advantages 
- Rich masking algorithm: Diversified masking algorithm are adopted to prevent data leakage, thus satisfying different demands and regulations.
- Reduced invasion: The incremental backup of CDM technology can be finished in minutes, thus the average invasion can be reduced by 90%.
- Reduced time: The total time needed by data masking is greatly reduced by the incremental backup and instant recovery of CDM technology.
- Process automation: The masking can be executed automatically following the workflow configured, thus the labor cost and error rate are reduced exponentially.
- Enhanced database consistency: Database snapshot is adopted by CDM technology, thus the database consistency is processed from the very beginning, so that both the efficiency and accuracy are enhanced.

- Data masking is supported for Oracle standalone / Dual-HA / RAC.
- The masking workflow can be orchestrated.
- One-off policy and cyclical policies are supported.
- Masking workflow can be started at the specified point in time. Masking workflow can be triggered automatically based on the latest point in time.
- Multiple masking algorithms are supported.
- Copy retention policies after masking can be set.
- Copies can be unmounted and cleared if expired.

- Dameng DataWatch in cluster mode can be backed up and recovered.
- Local logs can be added manually with the option Bring Database Online after Recovery disabled.

- TDSQL MySQL standalone on Chitu can be backed up and recovered.
- TDSQL MySQL master-slave cluster on Chitu can be backed up and recovered.

- Full backup, differential backup, incremental backup and log backup are supported.
- Continuous Log Backup
- Continuous log backup jobs can be created. Backups will be performed continuously following the backup types and intervals configured.
- Backup intervals of full backup, differential backup and incremental backup can be configured. Intervals can also be created for log points in time.
- Logs will be backed up continuously when the log is switched, so that the risk of being overwritten or lost can be reduced. Meanwhile the downtime caused when logs are full can be avoided.

- ISO image data disk is filtered out during backup.
- If Delete Original Cloud Host is selected during recovery, the cloud host will be deleted forcibly.

- Some system labels of the VM backed up and the VM restored are kept consistent.
- The available capacity of the primary storage can be checked during recovery. When the capacity is insufficient for recovery, the VM recovery will fail.
- When a snapshot/snapshot group fails to be deleted, the system can detect it and send warnings.
- After a VM is recovered successfully, the ISO images temporarily mounted can be unmounted automatically.
- Data blocks can be filtered during backup so that only valid data blocks will be backed up.

- Active collection via SNMP is supported.
- GBK character set is supported for SNMP output data.
Performance
 ●  [D2C/D2D2C] The recovery rate of jobs with deduplication enabled is optimized. The recovery speed for large files increases from 30+ MiB/s to 140+ MiB/s.
 ●  [Volume] The single-thread and multi-thread backup for volumes are optimized. The multi-thread concurrent recovery in ssd and nas scenario is optimized (Files needs to be configured in the background).
Interaction
 ●  [Kubernetes Data Protection]
- Full Backup and Incremental Backup can be selected when a backup job is started or a backup policy is set.
- Search function is added on Backup and Recovery > Kubernetes Backup > Cluster page.
- The protection status can be displayed in a tree structure on Cluster > Protection Status page.
 ●  [Database] Physical nodes can be bound in multiple virtual clients.
 ●  [Password] The CAPS LOCK prompt is supported when the password is changed.
 ●  [List] Width drag and drop is supported.
