Introduction
This document provides last-minute information about AnyBackup Family 7.0.15.0. New features, new compatibilities, and enhancements can be found in the following sections of this document.
The release version of AnyBackup Family 7.0.15.0 is available from July 19, 2021. If you are upgrading from previous versions, please review the upgrade guide closely before performing the upgrade.

New Features
Backup and Recovery
§ [GaussDB] GaussDB A can be recovered to another GaussDB A cluster after it is backed up.
§ [VMware]
- Overwritten recovery is supported, which means that backup data can be recovered to and overwrite an existed VM.
- 20 million files can be unfolded at one directory during granular recovery for VMs using NTFS file system.
- Retry is supported if snapshot deletion fails after the backup finishes.
- VMs with NVME controllers can be recovered.
§ [HUAWEI Cloud Stack] The problem of residual data in overwritten recovery is optimized. Before performing overwritten recovery, set the valid data block in the disk of cloud host to be overwritten to zero and then restore.
§ [H3C CAS] Advanced configurations are supported for H3C CAS E0709 or above, such as time synchronization, time settings, CAStool auto update, memory limitation, memory balloon, memory priority and more.
§ [MySQL] Physical backup of TDSQL for MySQL (standalone) is supported.
Copy Data Management
§ [SQL Server] Copy data management for SQL Server AlwaysOn is supported.
Continuous Data Protection
§ [File Replication] File replication is supported for ARM-based clients.
Public
§ [EOSS] The self-backup supported by EOSS service is optimized. The data consistency on nodes after self-recovery for clusters can be guaranteed.
§ [ESSS] The configuration of ESSSService is optimized, so that the write amplification of snapshot storage is reduced and the storage space is saved.

Enhancements
Security
• [KAD Service Downgrading] By capability technology, the startup by root user is downgraded to ordinary user, and the KADnet in direct mode is installed and reinforced.
• [Security Authentication] Cloud storage and backup storage are added in production resources. If HTTPS is used for connection, the certificate validity of the platform shall be authenticated by default. The authentication contents are as follows:
- Whether the certificate is expired
- Whether the certificate is issued by a trusted CA (Certificate Authority)
- Whether the certificate is revoked
- Whether the certificate matches the URL host name.
If the authentication is not passed, it will prompt that the certificate cannot be trusted. The details will be shown and you can decide whether to continue adding the platform or exit. If you want to add the platform, you can select whether to trust the certificate or not to authenticate the certificate.
Performance
• [ESSS] ESSS Service adopts multi-device I/O polling allocation strategy to distribute I/O to multiple physical devices as much as possible, so as to improve the performance of random read and write in multi-device scenarios.
• [Speed limits] Speed limits in different periods is supported. The speed limit period is not allowed to overlap, the start time must be earlier than the end time, and the time period must be set within one day.

• [AnyShare] AnyShare high-performance backup and recovery solution supports statistics for front-end and back-end capacities used.
• [Job Export Tool] The jobs can be exported to Excel using the job export tool, which is convenient for users to view or filter the current job information. Currently backup and recovery jobs, copy data management jobs can be exported to Excel.
• [LAN-Free] The application keeps consistent with LAN-free channels, thus the consistency of data transmission is guaranteed and the transmission performance is enhanced.
• [ECSS] The performance for query of point in time for D2D2C recovery is optimized.
• [Client] The communication framework between client and server is optimized, and the number of client connections supported by the cluster as well as the reliability and stability have been greatly improved.

- For SSL enabled: 1,000
- For SSL disabled: 2,000

- Client fetch: 2~10s
- Client allocation: about 200ms each
- Data source acquisition: about 200ms per layer
- Reliability
- Clients online at one time: it takes about 10s for 1,000 clients on line at one time if SSL is enabled, and about 15s for 2,000 clients if SSL is disabled.
- Client reconnection after node abnormality: it takes about 3 minutes for 2,000 clients online after 5 minutes timeout (it takes about 1 minute online after single node abnormality, that is, the less the number of abnormal nodes, the shorter the online time will be).
- Client load balancing: In the scenario of 2,000 clients connected to the same node, it takes about 5 minutes for clients online after load balancing.
Interaction Optimization
§ [MongoDB Backup]
- The information entered when creating client can be viewed in the Detail page of virtual client.
- A prompt indicating that cross-version recovery may cause recovery failure or the recovered database cannot be used has been added in [Create Recovery Job]-[Recovery Destination].
- The path save to and the port number of the recovery job can be viewed in the Detail page of recovery job.
§ [Hadoop HDFS]
- Apache CDH and FusionInsight versions are no longer distinguished when creating virtual clients.
- Virtual clients can be created by HDFS URL, thus the simplicity of HDFS cluster backup in HA mode can be enhanced.
§ [VMware] The data source page is optimized when creating data access and data recovery jobs for copy data management.
§ [Resource]-[Create Virtual Client]
- The original entries of HA virtual client and cluster virtual client are deleted.
